No structural or building defect found where teenage boy fell to his death

THERE were no structural or building defects at the site where a 15-year-old boy who fell to his death at Kota Damansara People's Housing Project, says Selangor Housing and Urban Living Committee chairman Haniza Talha.

Haniza, who visited the deceased family on Tuesday afternoon (April 16), made a site inspection.

“The railings were all intact and we have, in recent months, even added extra railings to make sure no one slipped through.

“No one knows how this teenage boy fell to death," she said of the incident which took place at 7pm on Monday (April 15).

"The railings are high. We were informed that the boy was a good boy and caused no problem for family,” said Haniza.

It was reported that the boy died after falling from the seventh floor of the flat.

The victim Khorilsyahrulnizam Che Norizam had, prior to his death, complained of headache to his father who had just returned home from work.

According to reports, Petaling Jaya district police chief, ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said the victim's father Che Norizam Epon, 48, told his son to lie down before hearing a loud sound a while later.

"Realising what had taken place, the victim's father quickly went down to the ground level and found his son who had a serious head injury and was bathed in blood," he said.

ACP Mohd Zani said the victim was taken to the Sungai Buloh Hospital where he was confirmed dead.

"Further investigation is being conducted on the case," he added.

An 18-second video showing the victim clad in a pair of jeans lying on the ground floor near the housing project has gone viral on social media.
