FRESH seafood supply will dwindle by 2048 if the authorities do not ban the use of trawl nets in Zone B (between 14.8km and 28km from the shore).

Sahabat Alam Malaysia (SAM) and Persatuan Pendidikan dan Kebajikan Jaringan Nelayan Pantai Malaysia (Jaring) are urging the authorities to ban the trawl nets as they are causing massive destruction to the marine eco-system.
