Melaka allocates RM720,000 for flood mitigation

MELAKA: Residents of Taman Beringin, Taman Jati and Kampung Sungai Putat can soon look forward to peaceful days without flash floods with an allocation of RM720,000 from the state to tackle the problem.

Melaka Public Works Department (JKR) director Zulkifly A. Ghani said the upgrading work would include replacing the existing U-shaped drains connecting Melaka Baru to Sungai Putat with larger and deeper structures.
