ABANDONED, rust-covered vehicles that have been cannibalised for parts in Kampong Nakhoda in Batu Caves have become a problem – where stagnant water in dashboards and other compartments have become breeding spots for mosquitoes.
Selayang Municipal Council (MPS) Health Department deputy director II Muhd Kasri Muharddin said the municipality suspects that the rise in dengue cases in Kampong Nakhoda was because of the pockets of stagnant water in the various compartments of abandoned vehicles.
