KUCHING: The Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) requires the full support of school principals to achieve its goal of improving English proficiency among students.

State deputy education director Abang Mat Ali Abang Masagus said HIP, which was introduced under the Upholding Bahasa Malaysia and Strengthening English policy, provided a language-rich environment for students to be exposed to English through various activities within and beyond the classroom.
