Register with Melaka Sentral, independent taxi operators told

MELAKA: The state government wants rental cars and taxi owners operating independently to register under Melaka Sentral Sdn Bhd (Melaka Sentral) to ensure the public transportation system is properly managed.

Melaka Chief Minister Adly Zahari said the move was to ensure their welfare was always looked after as well as to benefit from insurance coverage, get provisions for administrative expenses of the association and contributions in conjunction with celebrations such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
