Melaka CM yet to decide on native Yang Dipertua Negeri

MELAKA: Chief Minister Adly Zahari has yet to consider the idea of appointing a Melaka native as the next head of state when current Melaka Yang Dipertua Tun Dr Mohd Khalil Yaakob’s term expires.

Adly said this was because during the reign of the Melaka Sultanate where the empire covered a vast territory, the people in Melaka were known to accept others as part of the community regardless of their background.
