AFTER finding out that Bukit Damansara had been hit by a freak storm that caused trees to fall, Segambut Barisan Nasional candidate Datuk Loga Bala Mohan immediately sprung into action and visited the site.

Upon arriving, the caretaker Deputy Federal Territory Minister contacted Kuala Lumpur City Hall and asked them to remove the trees, branches and twigs that were blocking several roads.

“I have ordered Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) to clean up the debris immediately so that vehicles can use the roads.

“This is the first time I have seen such a serious case of fallen trees in Bukit Damansara," said Loga.

“Other  places in the Segambut constituency, like Segambut Dalam and Kampung Sungai Penchala, were also hit by the storm but it was not as bad,” he pointed out, adding that he had also ordered DBKL to trim trees with a huge canopy in Bukit Damansara.

The storm which occurred between 3pm and 4.30pm subsided by about 5pm on Monday.

In the aftermath, the main road, Jalan Beringin, was blocked by a huge fallen tree, but DBKL officers arrived  at the site to clear the trees soon after.
