Residents’ green-thumb initiative bearing fruit

TAMAN Janggus Jaya residents have been carrying out community farming near the hall of their neighbourhood committees (KRT) in Permatang Pauh, Penang.

Its KRT chairman Heng Soo Aun said about 200 residents had been cultivating the idle land for years with assistance from the state Agriculture Department.
