MORE than a thousand guests turned up at the Kepala Batas Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) hall in Bertam, Penang, for a Chinese New Year open house celebration.

Besides sampling an array of delicious food, visitors enjoyed exciting stage performances including an acrobatic show by five lion dancers.
