MPKS to educate consumers on dangers of using plastic bags and polystyrene containers


MPKS will ban the use of non-biodegradable plastic bags and polystyrene containers under its jurisdiction.

KUCHING: Kota Samarahan Munipical Council (MPKS) will soon ban the use of non-biodegradable plastic bags and polystyrene containers in business premises under its jurisdiction.

MPKS president Datuk Peter Minos said the ban was necessary because polystyrene containers was hazardous to public health.
