IT WAS a special kind of New Year celebration for the orang asli community in Kampung Pos Raya in Simpang Pulai this year. With contributions and donations in hand, National Unity and Integration in the Prime Minister’s Department adviser Datuk Heng Seai Kie joined the community’s festivities by immersing herself in their culture.

Heng was there to listen to the needs of the community and help solve any shortcomings faced at the village’s school, SK Pos Raya.
