THE upper branches of 42 shady trees along Free School Road in George Town, Penang, have been ‘aggressively’ trimmed, leaving residents nearby upset.

Real estate agent Wilson Moorthy, 50, said the ‘pruning’ exercise was carried out over the past two to three days, leaving only tree stumps from the stretch between Heng Ee High School and the psychiatric clinic in Perak Road.
