Development must take science of nature into account, says expert

JOHOR BARU: Science, including meteorology and the history of an area, should be taken into account before any development project is carried out, said Hawaiian Nature Conservancy senior scientist and cultural adviser Dr Samuel ‘Ohu Gon.

He said the best way to prevent recurring natural disasters was to study and understand weather patterns before any work was done.
