Fish fry released to populate Sungai Korok

THE Penang Fisheries Department released 75,000 fish fry of various species in Sungai Korok, Tasek Gelugor, Penang, in conjunction with the nationwide programme of releasing freshwater fish into public waters.

Penang Fisheries director Noraisyah Abu Bakar said the fish comprised ikan lampam, ikan baung and ikan siakap puteh, with each measuring between 7.6cm and 12.7cm.
