MELAKA: Foreign students happily joined in to prepare a big cauldron of payasam, a traditional Indian dessert, to give out to the public in conjunction with Deepavali.

Ten of them from the United States, Sudan, Kenya, Ethiopia, Yemen and Pakistan, who are members of non-governmental organisation International Islamic Youth Diplomacy Malaysia, were excited when they were invited as volunteers to prepare the sweet offering.
