You may be shut down, FT Minister warns traders who still flout plastic-bag ban


Kuala Lumpur traders caught using petroleum-based plastic and polypropylene bags as of Oct 1, risk having their businesses shut down or their licences revoked.

Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said the authorities were monitoring the use of biodegradable and compostable plastics bags as well as food containers in the Federal Territories since the ban was implemented on Sept 1.
