SOME 5,000 people gathered at the state-level celebration of Malaysia Day held at Dataran Ipoh last Saturday.

In cool weather, the celebration began at 8pm with a rich line-up of performances that perfectly showcased different cultural aspects of Malaysia’s multiracial society.
