THE process of making natural-dyed batik is a delicate and tedious process, but the end result promises not only a fine print but also eco-friendly inks derived from local plants.

The vibrancy of this batik and technique was the focus of the “Batik: Exploring Natural Dyes” exhibition which showcased the works of two local batik-makers, Kamaliah Ismail Zain and Fern Chua, at The Gallery, The Kuala Lumpur Journal hotel.
