SARAWAK’S wild interior, especially the tributaries of Sungai Balui, which is now part of Bakun Dam, is a paradise for freshwater fishing.

Since the dam’s completion in 2011, the tributaries have come alive and are teeming with species such as the semah (kelah or mahseer), adong (sebarau), baung (a type of catfish) and pengalan.
