Throughout the trek, nothing helps lift the spirits and cools you down like throwing down your backpack somewhere you remember, and jumping into the small, fast-moving stream and getting wet, clothes and all. The ambient heat and movement will dry you out soon enough.
EVERYONE has their first outdoor camping/trekking experience, and if you are lucky, it will be pretty memorable in all the right ways, like a nice campfire, little to no biting insects, good fellowship, no one got lost, etc.
This story is not like that.
