1 Carpooling is intended as a solution to the one-person per vehicle issue, grouping together two or more individuals heading in the same direction, thereby reducing traffic on the road.2 The infrastructure of major roads and highways are over-stretched, and DBKL is looking at alternatives to the congestion.3 One of the most common carpooling initiative is establishing carpool or high occupancy vehicle lanes for vehicles with more one or more passengers.
