TRAVELLING more than 2,500km for a lion dance competition in Penang paid off for a Guandong troupe from China when they emerged as the champions.
Nine men and a woman from Shan Wei Yi Xin Bi Ling Tang Lion Dance Group took home the RM15,000 cash prize and a trophy after winning this year’s Penang International Lion Dance On Stilts Competition.
