Increase in green turtle landings in Terengganu

KUALA TERENGGANU: The state Fisheries Department recorded 8,381 green turtle landings at four locations in the state last year, making it the highest landing rate in five years.

Fisheries Department director-general Datuk Ismail Abu Hasan said the number had increased by more than 100% compared to only 4,156 turtle landings recorded at the same locations in 2015.
