SEPUTEH residents will be able to collect their Kad Ceria from booths set up by Seputeh MCA in various locations.
The discount card was introduced by Federal Territories Ministry and is available to all registered voters within the Federal constituencies.
Cardholders will enjoy discounts and deals at a number of shops such as KK Supermart, Mydin and Radioshack.
Local businesses such as opticians, restaurants and hair salons have also joined in on the initiative as trading partners.
Seputeh MCA has been visiting restaurants, wet markets and popular areas to set up collection booths on the weekends.
So far, the team has visited Taman Salak Jaya and Sri Petaling; and will be heading to Overseas Union Garden, in Jalan Kelang Lama, and Kampung Baru Salak South in coming weeks.
Seputeh MCA vice-chairman Banie Chin said he and his team had been doing this for over a month now and would continue with the exercise for a while.
“Alongside giving out the Kad Ceria, we also want to interact with local residents.”
He explained that the card could be used at many outlets, and the Kad Ceria sticker would be placed at shop entrances so that people can easily spot the participating stores.
Chin added, “At our booths, the public can get help on checking their voter registration and which voting centres they have been assigned to.”
Chin and the rest of the Seputeh MCA team are encouraging Seputeh residents to visit the booths.
Residents can also visit their local community service centre on weekdays to collect their cards. For details, visit kadceria.kwp.gov.my
