KIDZANIA Kuala Lumpur has launched KidZania SportZ 2017 to instil the importance of sports among children.
The month-long programme from Aug 15 to Sept 15 will consist of a variety of activities, workshops, and weekend talks by sports professionals.

Children can test their balance, strength and stamina in the specially designed Obstacles Challenge by Spartan Race Inc., and training sessions by CrossFit Pahlawan.
These sessions are aimed at making fitness fun by incorporating interesting games.
Children attempting rope climbing with the help of Spartan coaches. The Fitness Dance classes will introduce fun Zumba routines where children can jump, dance, and shake to fun rhythms while learning coordination and increasing their confidence.
There will be archery, miniature golf and football alongside job experience games already available in KidZania.
“Exposing young children to different sports and activities like the Spartan Race, crossfit and dance is great,” said Ong, a multiple SEA Games gold medal winner.
“Athletes of today and the past like myself, all picked up sports in school and clubs at a young age.
“It is vital for grassroots development,” added Ong.
It is also timely to join in KidZania SportZ 2017, as it will be held during the Kuala Lumpur SEA Games 2017.
Ong also shared that he was inspired by football legends like Soh Chin Aun and Santokh Singh when he was younger.
As the children go around experiencing these activities and workshops, they will collect stamps on their SportZ card.
With four or more stamps collected, children will be eligible for the KidZania SportZ Challenge Contest to be in the running to train with national badminton athlete Liew Daren, in the AirAsia Badminton Academy.
Consolation prizes include free entry into KidZania Kuala Lumpur.
Children can also participate in the online Facebook contest by submitting a one-minute-and- 30-second video showing off their best sporting skills and tricks to the KidZania Kuala Lumpur Facebook page.
