HERITAGE Bisro PJ in Jalan Gasing, now under new management, has undergone a makeover and now, a contemporary ambience greets patrons as they walk in the door.
One thing that hasn’t changed though, is the outlet’s continuing focus on good music, all the way back to its roots as the Bistro almost half-a-century ago.
Among the local greats who have graced the stage in Heritage are country legends Os Pombos, the Strollers, funk-rock outfit Heavy Machine, Vernon Steel and Smallstones featuring Thomas Williams.
On Aug 19, Heritage lives up to its trademark of the ‘Good Music People’ and will be commemorating the 40th anniversary of the passing of Elvis Presley, the king of rock’n’roll, with a marathon tribute session that kicks off at 5pm.
Elvis wannabes are welcome to strut their stuff on stage alongside some of Malaysia’s best-known Elvis impersonators — Frankie Fong, Aziz Daud, Alex Wong, Adrain, Peter Lee, Wilfred Vincent and Mervyn Ezanee.
Prizes are up for grabs so put on your blue suede shoes and rock on down to Heritage on Aug 19. Fans are also invited to set up booths to sell Elvis memorabilia on the day.
Tickets for the event are priced at RM50, inclusive of one drink and a CD. To purchase tickets or to register for a spot on stage, contact Nora at 018-310 6608 or Frankie Fong at 016-238 0220.
