KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is honouring a British teacher turned artist who made the state her home nearly 70 years ago by turning her house in Likas near here into a gallery.

Sabah Art Gallery curator Jennifer Linggi said the intention was to enable the public to have a glimpse into the life of Tina Rimmer, who was best known for her portraits of ordinary folk and paintings of tamu or traditional farmers’ markets.
