Annual carnival showcases rich multi-cultural heritage


A traditional Chinese wedding procession using a sedan to ferry the bride to the groom’s place was also showcased at the Malaysian Chinese Culture Carnival in Kampung China, Kuala Trengganu.

KUALA TERENGGANU: The opening of the Malaysian Chinese Culture Carnival in Kampung China here went on smoothly despite the rain.

While spectators took shelter along the five-foot way of the shophouses for a while, the procession for the official opening braved the rain and made it to the venue on time.
