DOSH: Repair escalators that pose danger to public

JOHOR BARU: The state Occupational Safety and Health Department (DOSH) said 15% of the 949 units of escalators in the state are old and pose danger to users.

Johor DOSH director Kormain Mohd Noor said inspections found that some parts of the old escalators were faulty, specifications did not meet the standards set such as the distance between the steps and balustrade and other problems.
