Sabah to spearhead food initiatives State to be the first to embark on large-scale production of agro products

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah will be the first state in Malaysia to start producing more local agriculture and food products in line with the Government’s effort to reduce food imports.

Kinabatangan MP Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin, who is also the Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority Bhd (Felcra Bhd) chairman said the state had chosen Banggi Island in the northern Sabah to start this project.
