River bursts its banks too often

A FLOOD mitigation project costing RM31.7mil will be carried out along the 4.75km-long Sungai Permatang Rawa in Bukit Mertajam on the Penang mainland.

State Flood Mitigation Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the project would begin in October and expected to be completed in two years’ time.
