CLOSING restaurants for two hours every day to clean up has not only received positive feedback from diners, it has also helped increase business for the owners.

However, there are challenges in ensuring restaurants are cleaned properly and it must be done systematically, Malaysian Indian Restaurant Owners Association president Muthusamy Thirumeni said.
