Uproar over Sarawak Deputy CM’s comments on building roads in Baram


MIRI: The state government must respect the decision by the majority of the Baram population in interior northern Sarawak to reject the state’s plan to build the RM4bil Baram Dam – but still provide the basic amenities the people need.

Save Sarawak Rivers and Jaringan Orang Asal SeMalaysia (JOAS) both strongly objected to Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri James Masing’s recent comments.
