Taps to run dry in Shah Alam, Subang, Klang


Remedial works start at 9pm today and will take about 48 hours.

WATER disruption is expected in 38 locations for at least 48 hours in Shah Alam and Subang Jaya after a 1,500mm pipe burst in Section 21, Shah Alam. 

The incident occurred at 2.30pm and involved a pumping line behind the JVC factory that channels treated water to the Hicom pond that distributes water to several areas in Klang, Shah Alam and Subang.

The announcement was made on Air Selangor’s Facebook page at 3pm earlier.

For now, Syabas officers and contractors are preparing for remedial works that is expected to begin after 9pm today.

The water supply will only be turned off at 9pm so that the remedial works may commence.

Syabas estimates that the remedial works will take 48 hours, with water supply resuming in stages within 72 hours.
