SELANGOR Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali will step in to find a solution to the controversial USJ 25 Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman Temple relocation issue.

In a statement issued to members of the press, Azmin said he had spoken to the developer, One City Development Sdn Bhd and persuaded them to put the temple eviction on hold.

He said the decision was made following discussions with several Selangor leaders including state executive councillor V. Ganabatirau, Klang MP Charles Santiago, Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo and Subang MP Sivarasa.

“In view of the fact that this is an old temple and the concerns raised by the community, I have spoken to the developer. I will also be meeting all the relevant stakeholders within two weeks to discuss and find a suitable solution,” he added.

Also present were MIC leaders, including vice president Datuk T. Mohan as well as national youth leader Sivarraajh Chandran.
