KUCHING: The Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry (MDTCC) has appointed over 1,000 price monitoring officers to check the price of goods and controlled items across the country.

These plain-cloth officers, to complement some 2,000 MDTCC enforcement officers nationwide, would report to the ministry of any non-compliance among traders, said its deputy minister Datuk Henry Sum Agong.
