‘Rethink removal of ban’

The mentri besar said earlier this week the ban on plastic bags would be put on hold until a full study on its impact has been conducted

PERAK should still maintain its statewide ban on plastic and polystyrene, implementing it in a way to educate both business premises and the public, says Ipoh City Watch (ICW) president Prof Dr Richard Ng.

Commenting on Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir’s decision to call the ban off pending further studies, Ng said the state should review the decision.
