JOHOR BARU: Those looking for love can take part in an upcoming dating programme organised by the Johor Mentri Besar Chinese affairs volunteer group in Permas Jaya here.
The dating event, called Summer Love, would be held on July 8 at the Straits View Residences clubhouse at 6pm, said its organising chairman Tong Pin Lun.
He said the programme is open to 50 men and 50 women and there was no age limit as long as they are unmarried.
“The programme will include ice-breaking activities and three rounds of games for the participants to get to know each other.
“We want to give them a platform to meet new people and hopefully find a suitable partner,” he said in a press conference.
Tong said the dating programme was the first public event organised by them after forming the volunteer group in April, following the Mentri Besar’s approval for the programme.
He added that the group would be focused on organising programmes and events that are charity-based and to help the less fortunate after this.
He also said a seminar would be held before the dating programme on May 27 for those interested to learn more about improving their love life and relationships.
“The speaker will be sharing about Chinese numerology and marriage discussions to help participants have more confidence in their love life,” he said, adding that 300 seats are available for the free seminar.
The seminar would be held at 8pm at No 379-A, Jalan Permas Satu, Permas Jaya on May 27.
