TODAY’S Baby Expo is back, and it is offering special deals and discounts of up to 90% on a wide range of branded pregnancy and baby-care products.
Held at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre from today to Sunday May 21, the expo boasts more than 300 booths from over 150 exhibitors, giving visitors a wide variety of choices.
Apart from the interesting promotions and offers, the three-day event’s key attraction is its loyalty programme called Today’s Baby Rewards Points. Shoppers who sign up for the programme, which entails no annual fees, will receive a sign-up bonus of 100 points.
They can then collect points from purchases made at every one of Today’s Baby Expo's nationwide tour stops.
One point in the loyalty programme is equivalent to RM1, and the accumulated points can be used to redeem gifts like toys and stroller at the expo’s redemption counter.
“This is our way of rewarding our customers. They can look forward to receiving something attractive even after spending," said Today Publishing managing director Patrick Kok.
“The membership drive started last year, and today, we have about 50,000 members,” he added.
At the Mid Valley event, there will be talks and seminars on parenting, as well as lucky draw sessions that take place every two hours.
Customers who spend RM120 in a single or accumulated receipts stand a chance to win RM50,000's worth of prizes.
Kok said that they were also aiming to get into the Malaysia Book of Records for the most number of written pledges to breastfeed babies instead of using formula milk.
“Our objective is to hit 25,000 people pledging to breastfeed their babies for two months. So far, we have about 6,000 people from two of our Johor Baru expos this year.
“By Sunday, we hope to increase that number to 11,000,” Kok said, adding that those who pledged would be given an umbrella as a token of appreciation.
