HEARING loss can no longer be considered a problem only for the elderly, as an increasing number of people are being exposed to noise pollution and putting themselves at risk.
Nessa Hearing Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Olivier Carnohan said the World Health Organisation (WHO) reported that 1.1 billion teenagers and young adults were at risk of hearing loss due to unsafe sound levels such as prolonged exposure to personal audio devices, clubs, concerts and noisy workplaces.
