IT WAS a scene reminiscent of the United States’ Fleet Week, where US Navy ships visit big cities in the country to participate in a week-long events to honour the force.

Last Saturday, over 5,000 Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) personnel visited Putra Square near the Lumut Jetty, to celebrate the eighth year of Lumut’s declaration as a Naval, Tourism and Maritime Town.
