Tanjung Manis to be an economic hub

BELAWAI: A master plan has been drawn up for the development of Tanjung Manis and it will act as a catalyst for its remote areas which include Belawai, Kapit and Sarikei.

Speaking at the launch of the three-day Belawai Fest on Saturday, Second Minister of Resource Planning and Environment Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan said former Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud saw the huge potential of Tanjung Manis as a port and was ambitious in developing it.
