MBPJ to fully automate rubbish collection

RUBBISH collection in Petaling Jaya will be fully automated by September as part of Petaling Jaya City Council’s (MBPJ) plan to streamline its waste collection system.

Instead of the usual manual rubbish collection carried out by contractors, MBPJ is looking to make collection more effective by lifting the bins mechanically for rubbish to fall directly into the compactors.
