Architecture students learn from tradition

MALAYSIA’S rich architectural styles have prompted a group of 220 students from Taylor’s University School of Architecture, Building and Design (SABD) to embark on an eight-week journey to document 15 prominent structures in Alor Setar, Malacca and Kuala Lumpur.

Their observations were documented through models, sketch books, photo montages and measured drawing. This resulted in a measurement drawing exhibition called /Re-vis-it/: Delineating History, Culture, Tradition and Architectural Heritage of Malaysia’s Finest Cities – showcased at the Taylor’s University Coda Gallery.
