SOME 1,400 residents living in two housing areas in Butterworth are demanding that state government solve their flood woes, which have become a common occurrence in recent days.

Taman Bagan and Taman Cantik flood committee chairman Goay Weng Leng said they were living in fear whenever there was heavy rain.
