DEBATE over the proposed closure of a backlane in the Section 52 New Town business enclave raged for nearly an hour at the council’s full board meeting, before it was resolved via a vote.
The proposal, which would have seen the backlane running parallel to Jalan Yong Shook Lin and Jalan 52/18, closed off for the Petaling Jaya City Council’s “Kota Seni” project, was defeated 13-5 with one abstention.
