Move to encourage residents to plant vegetables and fruits on unused land

JOHOR BARU: The state government will introduce the “Laman Tani” project (lawn farming) next year at housing estates in urban areas of Johor to encourage community farming among residents.

Johor Agriculture and Agro-based Industry committee chairman Ismail Mohamed said the main objective of the initiative was to utilise idle and unused land within the housing estates.
