THE management of the Sri Maha Mariamman Temple in Jalan Tokong, Butterworth, has clarified that it has no jurisdiction over an adjacent plot of vacant land and car park where a beautification project is being implemented by the Seberang Prai Municipal Council (MPSP) and Think City.
Temple secretary A. Murugan dispelled rumours that the temple management had given approval for work to beautify the plot in Jalan Jeti Lama, saying that the land belonged to the state government.
