TRAVELLERS can now have fun on holiday and not have to worry about fluctuating exchange rates, thanks to a new collaboration.

The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) has partnered with Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd to offer travellers competitive foreign currency exchange rates at the MATTA Fair March 2017.

MATTA chief executive officer Phua Tai Neng said they were pleased with the opportunity to give visitors to the fair something different.

“This is our first time having an official money changer on board, and we are happy to be offering more than just value-for-money travel packages.

“With Merchantrade, visitors can purchase travel packages and exchange foreign currency at a very competitive rate all under one roof,” he said.

Merchantrade Asia Sdn Bhd founder and managing director Ramasamy K Veeran said the company was able to provide customers competitive rates because of its expertise in the money services business industry.

“We see our business as providing more than just a money exchange service.

“Planning holidays can be stressful so we want to offer innovative money service products that make our customers’ lives easier.

“The temporary counter at MATTA Fair March 2017 will allow us to provide visitors with the same competitive rates, superior customer service experience and brand trust that our loyal customers receive at our retail outlets,” said Ramasamy, adding that customers can also use their debit cards at the booths.

Merchantrade is a homegrown money services business operator, conducting remittance, money exchange and wholesale currency services at 82 retail branches nationwide.

Located at booths F1 to F3 in Hall 3 at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur, Merchantrade will be having exciting promotions as well as free gifts and other merchandise up for grabs for every currency exchange transaction during the three-day fair.

To encourage customers to experience its online platform eForex, Merchantrade is also giving out cash back vouchers of RM50 for every minimum transaction of RM5,000 to RM10,000, as well as RM100 and a cabin bag for every minimum transaction of RM10,001 to RM20,000.

Visitors who download and sign up on the mobile application eForex will also receive free gifts at the booths.

The cash back vouchers are valid for the next currency exchange transaction made on eForex.

MATTA Fair March 2017 will be held from March 17 to 19 from 10am to 9pm at PWTC, Kuala Lumpur.
